This topic describes how to view, move, share, copy, and transfer a dashboard. It also describes how to make a dashboard publicly viewable, how to add a dashboard to Favorites, and how to configure a security level for a dashboard.

Prerequisites

A dashboard is created and saved. For more information, see Create a dashboard and Overview.

Go to the Dashboards page

  1. To go to the Dashboards page, perform the steps that are shown in the following figure. Go to the Dashboards page
  2. On the Dashboards page, you can perform the following operations:

View a dashboard

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to view and click the View icon.
  3. On the page that appears, you can perform the following operations.

    • Edit: To modify a dashboard, click the Edit icon in the lower-right corner of the page. On the dashboard editing page, you can modify the chart settings.
    • Export: To export the dashboard data, click the Export icon in the lower-right corner of the page. In the Export dialog box, configure the following parameters and then click OK.
      Parameter Description
      Export Name Enter a name for the exported file.
      File Format Select a format. Valid values: Image, PDF, and EXCEL.
      Note If the dashboard contains a cross table and you select EXCEL as the exported file format, you can select Export with Format or Pure Data to export data from the cross table.
      • If data in the cross table occupies more than 50,000 cells, we recommend that you select Pure Data.
      • If you select EXCEL, only the first 10,000 records are exported.

      Only administrators are allowed to configure this parameter.

      Export Channel You can export the data to your local device or an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket.

Move a dashboard

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to move, click the Icon icon in the Actions column, and then click Move To.
  3. In the Move To panel, specify the destination directory and click Save.

Share a dashboard

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to share and click the share icon in the Actions column.
  3. In the Share panel, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter Description
    Name The name of the dashboard.
    Scope Specify the users who can access the dashboard.
    • If the dashboard is in a group workspace, you can grant permissions on the dashboard to workspace members, all users, specified user groups, or specified users.
    • If the dashboard is in a personal workspace, you can grant permissions only to specified users.
    Note This parameter is displayed only if you use the Quick BI Pro edition and the Quick BI Enterprise Standard edition.
    Share With Specify the users or user groups that can access the dashboard.
    Note This parameter is displayed only when you set the Scope parameter to Users or User Groups.
    Permission Type Valid values: View and Export and View Only.
    Note If you set the Permission Type parameter to View and Export, you must select Allow Download on the dashboard editing page. For more information, see Configure parameters in the Page Settings panel.
    Expiration Date Specify a duration within which the specified users can access the dashboard.
    Shared With By default, workspace members have the permissions to view and export the dashboard. You can click the Delete icon icon to revoke the permissions from the workspace members.
  4. Click Save. The dashboard is shared to the specified users.

Make a dashboard publicly viewable

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to make publicly viewable, right-click the dashboard name, and then click Make Public.
    You can also click the More icon icon in the Actions column and then click Make Public.
  3. In the Make Public panel, specify an expiration date and select Generate URL.

  4. Click Make Public.

Copy a dashboard

You can use the Save As feature to copy a dashboard.

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, click the name of the dashboard that you want to copy.
  3. On the dashboard editing page, click the More icon icon in the top navigation bar and then click Save As. Save As
  4. In the Save as Dashboard dialog box, enter a name and select a storage location for the saved dashboard, and then click OK.

Rename, transfer, and configure a security level for a dashboard

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to edit, right-click the dashboard name, and then click Edit Properties.
    You can also click the Edit properties icon in the Actions column.
  3. In the Edit Properties panel, configure the following parameters.

    name You can rename the dashboard.
    owner Click the drop-down icon and select the UID of the user to whom you want to transfer the dashboard.
    security strategy You can set this parameter to Private (Allow Only Workspace Owner to Edit) or Protected (Allow Other Workspace Members to Edit).
    • Private (Allow Only Workspace Owner to Edit): Only the owner can edit the dashboard.
    • Protected (Allow Other Workspace Members to Edit): Members in the workspace can edit the dashboard at the same time.

      When multiple users edit the dashboard at the same time, the locking mechanism is in effect.

  4. Click Save.
Note The dashboard transfer and security level setting features are available only for the Quick BI Pro edition and the Quick BI Enterprise Standard edition.

Add a dashboard to the favorites list

Only published dashboards can be added to your favorites list.

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. You can use one of the following methods to add a dashboard to your favorites list:
    • On the Dashboards page, click the Add to Favorites icon icon on the left side of the dashboard name. Add a dashboard to the favorites list
    • On the dashboard editing page, click the Add to Favorites icon icon next to the dashboard name. International site (alibabacloud.com) 312.2
      Note To remove the dashboard from your favorites list, click the Add to Favorites icon icon again.

Delete a dashboard

  1. Go to the Dashboards page.
  2. On the Dashboards page, find the dashboard that you want to delete, click the Icon icon in the Actions column, and then click Delete.
  3. In the message that appears, click OK.
