Bind EIP to NAT Gateway

Last Updated: Apr 11, 2018

You can bind EIP to a NAT gateway and use the EIP as the public IP of the NAT gateway to configure SNAT and DNAT rules. For more information, see Scenarios.

Note: If you have purchased a NAT bandwidth package before January 26, 2018, you cannot bind an EIP to a NAT gateway. Open a ticket to open this function.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the VPC console.

  2. Select the target region to view all EIP instances under the region.

If there is no available EIP instance, click Create EIP.

Note: Make sure the EIP instance and the NAT gateway to bind are in the same region. For more information, see Apply for an EIP address.

  3. Click Bind in the Actions column of the target EIP.

  4. In the displayed dialog box, follow these steps:

    1. Instance Type: Select NAT Gateway.

    2. NAT Gateway: Select the NAT gateway to bind.

    3. Click OK.
