Bind an ECS instance

Last Updated: Apr 11, 2018

To accelerate an application service that is hosted on an ECS instance in a VPC network, you must first bind the ECS instance. Only the ECS instance of the VPC network can be bound.

Follow these steps to bind an ECS instance:

  1. Log on to the VPC console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Global Acceleration. Then select the region where the Global Acceleration instance is located.

  3. Find the target instance and click Bind in the Backend Service Details column.

  4. On the displayed page, configure the following and click OK.

    • Service Region: Select the region where the ECS instance is located.

    • Instance Type: Select ECS Instance.

    • Bind Instance: Select the ECS instance to bind.

When the ECS instances is successfully bound, the status of the Global Acceleration instance changes to Allocated and a private IP address is allocated to the backend service.
