Time Series Database:CloudMonitor and alerting

Last Updated:Nov 01, 2021

After Time Series Database (TSDB) is connected to CloudMonitor, you can configure the metrics to be monitored and alert rules for your TSDB instances.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the TSDB console. The Instances page appears.

  2. In the Actions column for the instance that you want to manage, click Manage. The Instance Details page appears.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Alert. You are directed to a page in the CloudMonitor console. On this page, you can view the monitoring details of the TSDB instance.

  4. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Alert Rules. Then, you can view the alert rules configured for the instance.

  5. To create a rule for the instance, click Create Alert Rule. You can also go to the monitoring dashboard of the instance, click the Set Alert Rules icon in the upper-right corner of the monitoring details section for a metric, and then create a rule. If no alert rules are created for the instance, click Create Alert Rule to create an alert rule. When you create an alert rule, specify whether the alert rule applies to only a specific TSDB instance or all TSDB instances based on your business requirements.

Result

The following metrics of TSDB instances can be monitored in the CloudMonitor console:

- CPU utilization

- DataPointsIncrement

- Memory usage

- Used disk space

- Disk usage (This metric can be monitored only if your engine version is V2.6.10 or later.)

- Number of time series
