When adding workspace members, you must assign the corresponding roles to the member at the same time. Each member must have at least one role. Different roles have different viewpoints and permissions. A user can have different roles and must have at least one role.

The role includes following types: Workspace administrator, Developer, Analyst, and Viewer.

List of mappings between roles and permissions

The mapping between a role and its permissions is fixed and cannot be modified. When authorizing a user, you can only set the role of the user. Mappings between roles and permissions are listed as follows.

Add a workspace member

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Choose Settings > Workspaces.
  3. Click Members tab. The member management page is displayed.
  4. Click Member Added to Workspace, as shown in the following figure.
  5. Select a member by using the nick name, and assign a role type to this added member, as shown in the following figure.
  6. Click OK to complete the workspace member adding.
