If you forget the connection password of a Windows-based simple application server, you can use reset the password. This topic describes how to reset the connection password of a Windows server. When you use the Simple Application Server console to connect to a Windows server for the first time, you must reset the connection password of the server before you can connect to the server.

Background information

When you use the Simple Application Server console to connect to a Windows server for the first time, you must reset the connection password of the server as described in this topic. Meanwhile, you must reset the password of the default Administrator user. For more information, see Reset the logon password of a simple application server.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Simple Application Server console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Servers.
  3. On the Servers page, find the Windows server whose connection password you want to reset, and click the card of the server.
  4. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server Maintenance > Connect.
  5. On the Connect page, click Reset Connect Password.
  6. In the Reset Connect Password dialog box, enter and confirm a new connection password and click OK.

    After you reset the connection password, you must restart the server for the new password to take effect.
