After you create a cloud disk, you can convert its billing method between subscription and pay-as-you-go. This topic describes the methods to convert the billing method, as well as the application scope and effective time of each method.
The billing method of cloud disks is related to how the cloud disks are created:
- Cloud disks that are created together with subscription instances must be prepaid. For more information, see Subscription.
- Cloud disks that are created together with pay-as-you-go instances and that are created by click Create Disk on the Disks page of the ECS console must use the pay-as-you-go basis billing method. For more information, see Pay-as-you-go.
You can convert the billing method of cloud disks in different ways. The following table lists different conversion methods.
