Login node

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2018

After you create an E-HPC cluster, a public IP address is automatically allocated to each login node.

Note: If you do not have an E-HPC cluster, Create an E-HPC cluster first.

  1. Log on to the E-HPC console.

  2. Click Node from the left-side navigation pane, and select the name of the created cluster from the drop-down list.

  3. From the Node Type drop-down list, select Login Node. In the table, the Node ID/IP address column shows the public IP address for each login node.

If the last step of cluster creation generates a key pair, use it to log on using a terminal software (such as Putty) as it supports the login method. We recommend using this method for higher security and greater convenience. Otherwise, you can use the preset root password to log on using normal SSH terminals. The default logon shell is bash.

Note: Secure your logon passwords and do not disclose it to anyone.
