Elastic High Performance Computing:Overdue payments

Last Updated:Dec 25, 2023

This topic describes how to handle overdue payments of Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) resources or resources of other cloud services.

If the available funds in your Alibaba Cloud account, (including the balance and coupons) is less than the payable amount on your bill, the bill is overdue. If you have overdue payments, you can no longer use pay-as-you-go resources and the billing of your resources is suspended. We recommend that you settle the payments at the earliest opportunity. Otherwise, your resources are stopped or released and your business continuity is affected.

The impact of overdue payments varies based on the number of cores in your cluster and the billing methods of the resources in the cluster.

  • If the number of cores in your cluster does not exceed 1,000, you do not need to pay additional fees for excess cores of the cluster.

    • If all the resources in the cluster use the subscription billing method or resource plans, you can still use the cluster even if you have overdue payments.

    • If a resource in the cluster uses the pay-as-you-go billing method, you can no longer use the resource until you settle the overdue payments.
