Container monitoring service

Container monitoring service depends on Alibaba Cloud CloudMonitor service, and provides container Operation & Maintenance (O&M) users with services such as default monitoring and alarm rule configurations. The monitoring service of Container Service provides the capabilities to demonstrate the monitoring data at the container dimension and give an alarm. Besides, Container Service can integrate with the third-party open-sourced monitoring solutions (for more information, see Integrate with third-party monitoring solutions).

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Container Service console.

  2. Go to the container list page by using:

    • Nodes.
      1. Click Nodes in the left-side navigation pane.
      2. Click the IP address of the node.
    • Applications.
      1. Click Applications in the left-side navigation pane.
      2. Select the cluster in which the application you want to view resides from the Cluster list.
      3. Click the name of the application you want to view.
      4. Click the Containers tab.
    • Services.
      1. Click Services in the left-side navigation pane.
      2. Select the cluster in which the service you want to view resides from the Cluster list.
      3. Click the name of the service you want to view.
  3. In the container list, click Monitor at the right of the container you want to view.

    You can view the real-time monitoring information of the container.

  4. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  5. Click Cloud Service Monitoring > Container Service in the left-side navigation pane.

  6. Click Container Service Monitoring on the Clusters page.

  7. Select the container from the Container Service list.

  8. Click Monitoring Charts to view the history monitoring data of the container.

  9. Click the Alarm Rules tab and then click Create Alarm Rule in the upper-right corner.

    In some key services, you can add alarm rules according to your actual business situations. The container monitoring service will send an SMS notification to the cloud account contact when the monitoring metric reaches the alarm threshold.

    1. Based on your actual business requirements, configure the related resource, set the alarm rules, and select the notification contact and method.
    2. Click Confirm.
    3. View the created alarm rule under the Alarm Rules tab.
