If the amount of data stored in a database reaches the storage limit, the database cannot store new data. Time Series Database (TSDB) provides the data validity period feature to manage data based on its validity period. After you enable the data validity period feature and configure a data validity period, data that has been stored for a period longer than the specified validity period is automatically deleted. This topic describes how to enable and disable the data validity period feature.

Warning After you configure a validity period for your data, we recommend that you back up your data to prevent data loss.
