Reset a node

Last Updated: Feb 01, 2018

You can reset a node in a cluster. The system disk of the corresponding machine (the reset node) is replaced and the data stored in the system disk is lost. The reset machine is re-added to the cluster.

Note: Back up your data before resetting a node.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Container Service console.

  2. Click Nodes in the left-side navigation pane under Swarm.

  3. Select the cluster in which the node you want to reset resides from the Cluster list.

  4. Click More at the right of the node you want to reset and then select Reset from the list.

  5. The Reset dialog box appears. You can select whether or not to change the operating system. CentOS or Ubuntu can be selected as the operating system.

You can also reset the node logon mode. Password or Key Pair can be selected as the logon mode. Click Confirm after the configuration.
