Error code reference

The following table lists common error codes that may occur when using an API, a detailed description of each error, and immediate solutions you can implement for troubleshooting such errors.

Common error codes

Error Message Description Solution
InvalidProduct.NotFound Cannot find product according to your specified domain. Cannot find the corresponding product according to the configured domain. Check whether the entered domain name, or the domain name in the service configurations, is correct.
InvalidApi.NotFound The specified API is not found, check your URL and method. Cannot find the API. Check the request URL and method. Make sure the capitalization for the API name is correct.
InvalidProtocol.NeedSsl Your request is denied as lack of ssl protect. “Only support HTTPS protocol” is selected in the API configurations. Check whether the API configuration requires HTTPS. You can configure the API to support other protocols.
InvalidAccessKeyId.NotFound The specified access key is not found. Cannot find the specified AccessKey ID. Check whether the ID of the AccessKey used by the API is correct.
InvalidAccessKeyId.Inactive The specified access key is disabled. AccessKeyId is disabled. Ensure that the AccessKey is available and enabled.
InvalidTimeStamp.Format The specified time stamp or date value is not well formatted. The time stamp format is invalid. Check that your time stamp is correctly formatted. For a request time stamp, the date format follows the ISO8601 standard and must use UTC time.
The time stamp must be formatted as follows:
YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ
For example, 2014-05-26T12:00:00Z (January 10, 2013, 20:00:00 BJT) GMT. The time difference between the client and the server must be 15 minutes or less to remain valid.
InvalidTimeStamp.Expired The specified time stamp or date value is expired. The time difference between the client time and server exceeds 15 minutes. Check your time stamp settings. Confirm that the difference between the time stamp and the server time is within 15 minutes.
InvalidParameter.Format The specified parameter format is not valid. Confirm that the returned format supports XML and JSON. By default, the XML format is used.
InvalidParameter.Accept The specified parameter accept is not valid. The format of the returned value is invalid (specifically, not supported by Accept). The value Accept supports returned values of application/JSON and application/JSON-RPC. The default value is None.
InvalidSecurityToken.Expired The specified SecurityToken is expired. SecurityToken has expired. Check whether the SecurityToken has expired. If it has expired, create a new SecurityToken.
InvalidSecurityToken.MismatchWithAccessKey The specified SecurityToken mismatch with the AccessKey SecurityToken and AccessKey do not match. Check the SecurityToken. If it does not match the AccessKey, create a new SecurityToken.
InvalidSecurityToken.Malformed The specified SecurityToken is malformed SecurityToken is incorrect. Check the SecurityToken. If it is incorrect, create a new SecurityToken.
Invalid{ParameterName} The specified parameter {ParameterName} is not valid. The parameter value, or name verification, has failed. To use request parameters to construct a canonicalized query string, refer to Signature Mechanism.
InvalidParameter The specified parameter “Action or Version” is not valid. The API cannot be found. Confirm that the API name you entered exists, and that the API name is entered correctly (confirm capital letters are entered correctly).
InvalidParameter The specified parameter “%s” is not valid. The specified parameter is incorrect. Use request parameters to construct a canonicalized query string. For details, refer to Signature Mechanism.
InvalidSignatureMethod The specified signature method is not valid. The signature method is not supported. Confirm the hash algorithm. The recommended algorithm is HMAC-SHA1.
IncompleteSignature The request signature is incorrectly formatted. The signature does not match. Check whether the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret are correct, and whether the signature method is correct. For details, refer to Signature Mechanism.
InternalError The request processing has failed due to some unknown error. An internal error has occurred. Retry your desired action. If the attempt fails again, submit a ticket to technical support.
ServiceUnavailable The request has failed due to a temporary failure of the server. The service is temporarily unavailable. The system is being upgraded and is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
SignatureDoesNotMatch The specified signature is not matched with our calculation. The signature does not match. Check whether the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret are correct, and whether the signature is constructed correctly. For details, refer to Signature Mechanism.
SignatureNonceUsed The specified signature nonce war used already. The SignatureNonce has been used again. The SignatureNonce values of requests cannot be reused within 15 minutes.
MissingSecurityToken SecurityToken is mandatory for this action. SecurityToken is missing. If AccessKeyId begins with STS, a SecurityToken is required.
MissingParameter The input parameter {parameter} that is mandatory for processing this request is not supplied. A mandatory parameter is not provided. Check whether the parameter is provided for the call, and retry the request.
Missing{ParameterName} {ParameterName} is mandatory for this action. A mandatory parameter is not provided. Check that all mandatory parameters are provided, and then retry the request.
ContentLengthDoesNotMatch The specified content-length is not matched with the length of body. The specified content-length does not match the body length. Verify the content-length. The content-length must be of the same length as the request body. Then send the request again.
ContentMD5NotMatched The specified content md5 is not matched with your request body. MD5 verification failed. Re-generate the MD5 signature value. For details, refer to Signature Mechanism. Example of Java format: Base64.encodeBase64(MD5(bodyStream.getbytes("UTF-8")));.
UnsupportedHTTPMethod The specified signature is not matched with our calculation. The HTTP request method is not supported. Check the API Reference of your product to determine its proper HTTP request method.
Forbidden.AccessKeyDisabled The Access Key is disabled. AccessKeyId is disabled. Ensure that the AccessKey is enabled.
Throttling The request was denied due to request throttling. Your traffic has exceeded the upper limit. Determine if your current traffic quota is meeting business demands. If a higher quota is required, submit a ticket.
Throttling.User The request was denied due to user flow control. Your traffic has exceeded the upper limit. Determine if your current traffic quota is meeting business demands. If a higher quota is required, submit a ticket.
Throttling.Api Request was denied due to API flow control. Your traffic has exceeded the upper limit. Determine if your current traffic quota is meeting business demands. If a higher quota is required, submit a ticket.

Product-specific error codes

Product Error Message Description Solution
ECS InvalidRegionId.NotFound The specified RegionId does not exist. The specified RegionId does not exist. View Regions and zones, and check whether the specified RegionId is correct.
ECS InvalidInstanceId.NotFound The specified InstanceId does not exist. The specified ECS instance does not exist. Ensure that the specified instance exists.
ECS InvalidSecurityGroupId.NotFound The specified SecurityGroupId does not exist. The security group ID cannot be found. Check whether the SecurityGroup is working properly.
ApsaraDB Forbidden.InstanceNotFound The specified instance is not found. The instance does not exist. Ensure that the specified instance exists.
ApsaraDB InvalidPerformanceKey.Malformed The specified parameter \”Key\” is not valid. The key of the monitored performance indicator is invalid. Check whether the key format is correct. To check multiple keys, separate each key with a comma (,). For details, refer to Performance Parameter Table.
ApsaraDB InvalidDBInstanceId.NotFound The specified instance is not found. The instance does not exist. Ensure that the specified instance exists.
ApsaraDB OperationDenied.AccountStatus The operation is not permitted due to status of account. The database instance account state does not support this operation. Check whether your account is in the running state.
ApsaraDB OperationDenied.DBInstanceType The operation is not permitted due to type of the instance. The database instance type does not support this operation. Check whether your database instance is read-only. Read-only instances do not support this operation.
ApsaraDB Forbidden.RAM User not authorized to operate on the specified resource, or this API does not support RAM. The user is not authorized to operate on the specified resource, or this API does not support RAM. Authorize the resource, and then check whether the API supports RAM.
CDN InvalidDomain.NotFound The domain provided does not belong to you. The domain name does not exist or does not belong to the current user. Check whether the domain name you provided is correct. Additionally, ensure that the domain name exists in the current account, and whether the domain name has expired.
CDN PreloadQueueFull Preload queue is full, try again later! The preload queue is full. Wait awhile, and then call the API.
CDN QuotaExceeded.Refresh You’ve exceeded the prescribed refresh limits. The prescribed refresh limit has been exceeded. Query the number of refreshes performed using the Refresh Interface.
CDN InvaildParameter The parameter you provided is invalid! The entered parameter is invalid. Check that the request parameter is correct.
CDN InvalidEndTime.Mismatch The specified end time does not match the specified start time. The end time is earlier than the start time. Check whether the time settings are correct. The end time cannot be earlier than the start time.
CDN Forbidden.RAM User not authorized to operate on the specified resource, or this API does not support RAM. The user is not authorized to use this resource, or this API does not support RAM. Authorize the resource, and then check whether the API supports RAM. For user authorization details, refer to the CDN products Authorization Guide.
CDN InvalidTaskId.Malformed The specified TaskId is malformed. The TaskId does not exist. Check whether the TaskId exists.
CDN ObjectPath.Malformed The specified value of parameter ObjectPath is malformed. The ObjectPath value format is incorrect. Check the value format. Format example: abc.com/image/1.png. Separate multiple URLs with line breaks (\n or \r\n).
CDN InvalidInterval.Malformed Maximum time interval is 96 hours. The maximum time interval is 96 hours. Reduce the interval value. The maximum interval value is 96 hours.
CDN and ApsaraVideo for Live InvalidStream.NotFound The specified stream does not exist. The live stream does not exist. Query the online streaming list to confirm whether the streaming address exists.
CDN and ApsaraVideo for Live ExceedMaxTsNumber Record ts number exceeds 5760. The number of ts parts exceeds 5,760. Reduce the total video length, or extend the length of each ts part. Additionally, you can reduce the total number of ts parts.
CDN and ApsaraVideo for Live RecordContent.Missing The specified record content is missing. The specified recording file cannot be found. Check whether the video recording file exists.
