Quick BI Pro

If you have purchased a Quick BI Pro edition, go to the Quick BI homepage and click Settings to check the organization and permission management functions.

Click the Settings icon to go to the organization settings page, as shown in the following figure.



On this page, you can create organizations, and add, edit, or delete members of an organization. For more information about organization management, see Basic concepts about organization management.

In Workspace, you can operate row-level permissions and data objects including workbooks, dashboards, and portals.

Quick BI Professional Edition

In addition to the features detailed in Quick BI Pro, Quick BI Professional Edition also supports cloud Hive databases, on-premises Hive databases, Vertica data sources, and IBM DB2 LUW data sources. Quick BI Professional Edition can recognize minutes and seconds in time data and the filtering of time data is accurate to within one second. With Quick BI Professional Edition, you can build data models using cross-database connections. MaxCompute, MySQL, and Oracle data sources are supported.

First purchase

Before you purchase Quick BI services, you must confirm the number of users.

A user can be a RAM user account or an Alibaba Cloud account. Note that Alibaba Cloud RAM users do not have the permission to purchase Quick BI services. Use a primary account to purchase Quick BI services.

To purchase Quick BI services for both an Alibaba Cloud account and a RAM user, you must select 2 for the number of users.

To purchase Quick BI services for a RAM user, you can use an Alibaba Cloud account, and delete the Alibaba Cloud account after the RAM user is connected.

If this is the first time you use Quick BI, you can purchase Quick BI services for multiple users at a time.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Quick BI purchase page.
  2. Specify the number of users and the subscription duration.
  3. After you have confirmed the price, click Buy Now.
  4. Enter the username and the password, and click Log On to log on to the Alibaba Cloud homepage.

    If you do not have an Alibaba Cloud account, click Join Free to register an account as prompted by the system.

  5. After you have confirmed the order, click Pay.

Add an account

You can purchase Quick BI services for yourself or for others. If you purchase a Quick BI service for another person, you only need to add that person’s account under your account.

If you have purchased a Quick BI service and you need to purchase a Quick BI service for another person, make sure that the account you used to purchase the service has been activated.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Click Upgrade Version.
  3. Select the number of users for whom Quick BI services are to be purchased.
  4. After you have confirmed the order, click Pay.

Add a Quick BI user

After you have purchased enough users, you can add users within the quota.

Note When you add a user, we recommend that you add RAM users. If you remove a user account, the Alibaba Cloud account may disclose company data. Add users with caution.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Click Manage > Add Member .
  3. Add an Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user.
  4. Click OK to add the user.

The added user will be automatically displayed in the user list.

Remove a Quick BI user

If an added user stops using Quick BI services, you can remove this user from the user list. After removal, this user is unable to use any functions of Quick BI.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Locate the user on the Members tab page.
  3. Click Remove to remove the user.

Upgrade Quick BI

You can upgrade Quick BI in the Quick BI console.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Click Upgrade Version, and upgrade Quick BI as prompted by the system.

Renewal

Renew the subscription for your Quick BI user within seven days after the account expires. Otherwise, the system automatically releases your resources.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Quick BI console.
  2. Click Renewal and select a renewal period.
  3. Click Pay to complete the renewal.
