This topic describes the integration between ARMS and Alibaba Cloud products.
ARMS can be integrated with a variety of products on the Alibaba Cloud, as shown in the following figure.
- The products, such as ECS Log, Message Queue, and LogHub, can be integrated with ARMS seamlessly as data sources. For more information, see ARMS documentation.
- The integration modes for other downstream products, for example, DataV, are special. The details are described as follows:
- ARMS is enabled
- DataV Basic Edition is enabled
Determine data to be queried.
In the ARMS console, choose Custom Monitoring > Datasets from the left-side navigation pane. Select a dataset to be queried, complete related parameters, and click Query Data.
Validate the query statements. After you validate the correctness of the query statements, click “Integrate with DataV”, and confirm the generated information.
In DataV, select the ARMS data sources to be presented.
In DataV, select the ARMS data sources from a detailed data layer.
If you use DataV for the first time, create an account on the page. As shown in the following figure, click Create an Account, enter the AK and SK generated in the ARMS console in Step 1, and then enter a meaningful user name.
After creating an account, enter the function URL generated in the ARMS console in Step 1 to DataV. Then, click Validate, and complete the field mapping table with the results.
So far, the integration with ARMS is complete.
Question: I used Chinese names of provinces cities in the drill-down dimension in the ARMS console, such as Sichuan province and Shanghai city. When the data on APIs is delivered, the API calling uses the drill-down dimension details for data delivery which shows the correct results of all provinces and cities. But how to present it on the heat map of DataV?
Answer: The heat map of DataV only supports Area code in terms of Area ID. To present it in DataV, you must convert the provinces and cities into area codes. You can open Province/city area code mapping, copy the content, create a dimension mapping table, and associate the API data delivered in the ARMS console with the dimension mapping table for escaping.
