MaxCompute data source config

MaxCompute (formerly known as ODPS) provides a comprehensive data import solution that allows a quicker massive data computing. As a data hub, the MaxCompute data source can be used for both reading data from and writing data to MaxCompute and supports Reader and Writer plug‑ins.

Note:

A default data source (odps_first) is generated for each project, and the MaxCompute project name is the same as the one for the computing engine of the current project.

Procedure

  1. Enter the DataWorks console as a developer, and click Enter Project, as shown in the folloiwng figure.

  2. Click Data Integration from the upper menu and navigate to the Data Sources page.

  3. Click New Source.

  4. In the dialog box, select MaxCompute (ODPS) as the data source type.

  5. Complete the configuration items of the MaxCompute data source.

    • Name: A combination of letters, numbers, and underscores (). It must begin with a letter or an underscore (), and the length must not exceed 30 characters.

    • Description: A brief description of the data source, which must not exceed 80 characters.

    • MaxCompute Endpoint: Read-only by default. The value is automatically read from the system configuration.

    • MaxCompute item name: The English name of a project.

    • Access ID: The Access ID of the MaxCompute Project Owner cloud account.

    • AccessKey: The AccessKey is equivalent to the logon password. The AccessKey of the MaxCompute Project Owner cloud account is used in combination with the Access ID.

  6. Click Test Connectivity.

  7. When the connectivity test is passed, click Complete.
