Data Management Service (DMS) supports multiple database types and allows you to log on to various types of database instances. This topic describes how to add a database.
Procedure
Log on to the DMS console.
On the Databases page that appears, click Add Database in the upper-right corner.
Configure the basic information of the database.
- The configuration parameters vary with the database type or instance type that you select.
- The interface type RDS indicates Alibaba Cloud database instances, such as ApsaraDB for Relational Database Service (RDS) and ApsaraDB for Redis. Database Gateway will be supported soon.
- After you complete the configuration, click Connectivity Test to verify that the entered information is correct.
Click Add.
