Only the number of Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances or Dockerized instances that are truly used to deploy applications is counted as the number of application instances.

Example 1: Assume that you have purchased 100 ECS instances with your account, installed Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) Agent on 60 of them, and deployed app 1, app 2, and app 3 on a total of 50 ECS instances. In EDAS, only these 50 ECS instances are billed. Therefore, the number of your current application instances is 50.

Example 2: Assume that you have deployed three applications on a total of six Dockerized instances, which are created on two ECS instances. In EDAS, these six Dockerized instances are billed. Therefore, the number of your current application instances is 6.
