Database Autonomy Service:Event center

Last Updated:Jan 22, 2024

During daily O&M, you can learn the performance issues and related O&M operations of your database instance in a comprehensive manner by viewing the details and statistics of the events that are planned for execution, the events that are being executed, and the events that are complete. The events include exceptions, optimization events, and auto scaling events. This topic describes how to view the performance events of a database instance in real time by using the event center feature of Database Autonomy Service (DAS).

Prerequisites

The database instance that you want to manage must meet the following requirements:

  • The database instance is connected to DAS. For more information about how to connect database instances to DAS, see Connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance to DAS.

  • A database instance of one of the following types is connected to DAS:

    • ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL

    • ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL

    • ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL

    • ApsaraDB for Redis

    • PolarDB for MySQL Cluster Edition

View events and suggestions

  1. Log on to the DAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.

  3. On the Event Center page, click the Events and Suggestions tab to view the statistics and trend charts of events in a specific time range.

    • On the Exceptions tab, you can view the statistics of exceptions.

    • On the Optimization Suggestions tab, you can view the statistics of optimization events.

    • On the Top Instances tab, you can view the statistics of database instances sorted by the number of events.

You can filter events by Event Level, Event Name, or Event Type.

Click the ID of a database instance or click Details in the Actions column corresponding to the database instance to go to the autonomy center of the database instance and view the event details.

What to do next

  • You can enable the event subscription feature for your database instance. When related events are detected on the database instance, the system sends you notifications based on the notification method that you specify. For more information, see Event subscription.

  • On the Autonomy Center tab of a database instance, you can view the details of events.
