Elastic Compute Service:Create a replication pair-consistent group

Last Updated:Oct 13, 2023

After you create a replication pair-consistent group, you can add multiple replication pairs to the group. This way, you can batch manage the replication pairs between the primary and secondary sites. This topic describes how to create a replication pair-consistent group.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Elastic Block Storage (EBS) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Enterprise-level Features > Replication Pair-consistent Group.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region. 地域

  4. Click the Primary Site or Secondary Site tab and then click Create Replication Group.

  5. In the Create Replication Pair-Consistent Group panel, configure parameters and click Confirm.

    Configure the following parameters:

    • Group Name: Enter a name for the replication pair-consistent group.

    • Production region: Select a region for the primary site. The region is called primary region or production region.

    • Production Zone: Select a zone for the primary site. The zone is called primary zone or production zone.

    • Disaster Recovery Region: Select a region for the secondary site. The region is called secondary region or disaster recovery region.

    • Disaster Recovery Zone: Select a zone for the secondary site. The zone is called secondary zone or disaster recovery zone.

    • RPO (Minutes): the recovery point objective (RPO) of the replication pair-consistent group. By default, this parameter is set to 15 Minutes.

After you create a replication pair-consistent group, you can modify the name and description of the replication pair-consistent group based on your business requirements. Before you modify the name or description of a replication pair-consistent group, make sure that the group is in the Created or Stopped state.

What to do next

After you create a replication pair-consistent group, you can add replication pairs that replicate in the same direction as the group to the group. For more information, see Add replication pairs.
