Quick BI (QBI for short) for website log analysis provides all-in-one, multi-dimensional, and visualized data analysis reports for log data stored in HiChina cloud VMs. With such analysis reports, VM customers can view the recent site traffic trends and understand site users’ behavior and regional attributes.
Trial edition: Free of charge currently. This service can be used three hours after being activated.
Function: Statistical analysis of website traffic trends (such as PV and UV).
Standard edition: This service is activated after you make the payment.
Functions: Traffic trends, monthly analysis, resource analysis, access sources, and region analysis.
The specifications and functions are described as follows.

The Traffic Trends page displays real-time traffic data. You can set a time range to view the user access trends in the period. As shown in the following figure, the number of accessed pages, number of users, average number of accessed pages per user, and number of bytes of the current day are calculated in real time. In addition, the data is compared with that at the same time in the last day and in the last week, enabling you to view the recent traffic change conditions.
After select a time range, you can view the number of accessed pages, number of users, and other metrics within the period.
Data on Monthly Analysis is summarized based on reports on Traffic Trends, enabling you to view daily traffic trends and accumulated data on a monthly basis. Monthly Analysis supports data analysis in the recent six calendar months. Data is calculated after you buy the website log analysis service. Therefore, you can view data until the first day of the next month. In metrics on the tabs, daily average indicates the average value per day in the recent six months, and accumulated indicates the accumulated value (number of accessed pages and number of bytes) or deduplicated value (number of users) in the recent six months.
The Resource Analysis page displays user access conditions in the dimensions of the page, file type, and audio. The Top 10 Pages tab is displayed by default. You can click another tab to switch to the page.
The Access Source page displays access sources of each page that is browsed. You can set Select Page to select the page whose access source is to be viewed.
The Region Analysis page resolves users’ IP addresses to obtain province information, allowing you to check regional distribution of site users and perform directional promotion for users in a specific region.
Currently, if user A transfers a host to user B and user B does not pay for the website log analysis service, user B cannot see the service.
Monthly Analysis supports data analysis in the recent six calendar months. User data is calculated after you buy the website log analysis service. Therefore, no data exists in the report, and you can view data until the first day of the next month.
The number of bytes in the report is summed based on the data of collected logs, which is only for reference and cannot be used as a billing standard.
QBI for website log analysis trial edition must synchronize data. You can see this function module on the homepage of the VM console and “Log Analysis” after you place the order for three hours.
This issue does not occur for QBI for website log analysis standard edition.
