Mapping table management

Last Updated: Apr 28, 2018

This topic explains how to add and edit a mapping table.

A mapping table stores static data. It has the following features:

  • Get the target field by statically join the cleansed fields after the log cleansing.
  • Performs combined query based on the dimension table during dataset query.

Add a mapping table

  1. In the left-side navigation pane of the console, choose Custom Monitoring > Mapping Tables to enter the Instance List page. Click Create Mapping Table in the upper-right corner of the page.

  2. In the Create Mapping Table dialog box, set the mapping table parameters.

Example 1: Create a mapping table named “codeMapping”. Set Schema to a one-to-one mapping, which means converting one code field into one name field.

Example 2: The following mapping table shows a many-to-one mapping, which converts the longitude and latitude into an address.

Edit a mapping table

In the mapping table list on the Mapping Tables page, click Edit next to the target mapping table to enter the editing mode.

The Schema and Resource Type are uneditable in editing mode. Text Content can be modified when Resource Type is set to TEXT. The changes take effect immediately for the jobs or other modules that are dependent on the mapping table.
