Grouping is an important way for ARMS to simplify user resource management. With grouping, you can manage all ECS instances whose logs are to be collected by the Logtail client. Currently, ARMS only supports the ECS log source group.
Create an ECS group
In the left-side navigation pane of the ARMS console, choose Custom Monitoring - Data Sources > ECS Log.
On the instance list page, select the ECS Groups tab.
Click Create ECS Group in the upper-right corner of the page.
In the New ECS Group dialog box, enter the group name, select the region, add the target ECS instances, and click OK.
NOTE: Only instances in the same region can be added to the same ECS group.
View machine details of the ECS group
On the ECS Group tab, click the expand icon next to the target ECS group. The details of ECS machines in the group are displayed, as shown in the following figure.
On this page, you can remove an ECS instance from the group.
Edit an ECS group
Click the pencil icon of the ECS group to modify it. You can change the ECS group name, add ECS instances to the group, or remove an ECS instance from the group.
Delete an ECS group
Click the delete icon of an ECS group to delete it.
