Cloud Enterprise Network:Monitor route usage

Last Updated:Oct 10, 2023

Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) is interfaced with CloudMonitor, which can monitor the route usage of transit routers. This topic describes insufficient route quota events generated by system monitoring and how to create alert rules. You are notified of insufficient quota events generated for routes. This helps you avoid adverse impacts on your business.

Insufficient quota events of routes

If the following route events are generated for transit routers, the system automatically reports the events to CloudMonitor. You can view the event details in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see View system events.

Note

Events are classified based on the following severity levels:

  • WARN: The event is of the warning severity level. Manage the event at your convenience.

  • CRITICAL: The event is of the critical severity level. Manage the event at the earliest opportunity.

Create an alert rule for route usage

If you want to be notified of insufficient route quota alerts at the earliest opportunity, you can create alert rules. Alerts are immediately triggered and sent to you when the alert conditions are met.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center > System Event.

  3. Click the Event-triggered Alert Rules tab.

  4. On the tab that appears, click Create Alert Rule.

  5. In the Create/Modify Event Alert panel, create an alert rule and click OK.

In this example, only the monitoring parameters that are related to CEN are set. For more information about the monitoring parameters of other services, see the CloudMonitor documentation. For more information about how to create an event-triggered alert rule, see Manage system event-triggered alert rules.
