Details

If the EIP quota of your Alibaba Cloud account exceeds 2,000, you are charged configuration fees for the EIPs that are associated with ECS instances or elastic container instances in the account.
Note By default, you can apply for at most 20 EIPs with each Alibaba Cloud account. You can go to the Quota Management page to view the highest quota that you can apply for. For more information, see Manage resource quotas.

For example, the EIP quota of your Alibaba Cloud account (Account A) is 500 and you created 450 EIPs in the China (Beijing) region. You associated 400 EIPs with Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instances and 50 EIPs with ECS instances. In this case, you are charged configuration fees for the EIPs that are associated with the CLB instances. You are not charged configuration fees for the EIPs that are associated with the ECS instances. The total configuration fee per hour is calculated based on the following formula:400 × USD 0.003/hour × 1 hour + 50 × USD 0/hour × 1 hour = USD 1.2.

Due to business development, you requested a quota increase and the EIP quota increased to 2,500. In this case, you are charged configuration fees for all of the 450 EIPs. The total configuration fee per hour is calculated based on the following formula:450 × USD 0.003/hour × 1 hour = USD 1.35
