Each time DBS performs a backup, a backup set is generated. This topic describes how to manually delete a backup set.
Prerequisites
The backup schedule must contain more than three full backup sets.
Otherwise, no backup sets can be deleted.
Precautions
You can only delete a single backup set at a time. The batch delete operation is not supported.
Incremental backup sets cannot be deleted.
To ensure the continuity of the restored data, you can delete only the earliest backup set in an operation.
You cannot recover a deleted data backup set. Proceed with caution when you perform this operation.
Configure the backup schedule
Log on to the Database Backup (DBS) console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Backup Schedules. In the top navigation bar, select a region.
Click the name of the backup schedule that you want to manage. In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
Find the backup set and then click Delete Backup Set.
In the message that appears, click OK.
