If you want to modify specific resources in a scenario in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console, you can generate a template for the scenario. Then, you can modify the resources in the template, create a stack based on the modified template, and use the stack to replicate, manage, or migrate resources.
Prerequisites
A scenario is created. For more information, see Create a scenario.
Background information
You can generate scenario templates from different types of scenarios and view the template of each scenario. You can also use the template to create a stack that is used to replicate, manage, or migrate resources.
Resource replication scenario
In the scenario, you can generate a template for a new node that contains a collection of resources that you want to replicate. You can modify the resources in the template, create a stack based on the modified template, and then use the stack to replicate resources. You can also replicate resources in the scenario. For more information, see Create a stack and Use a scenario to replicate resources.
Resource management scenario
In the scenario, you can generate a template for a source node that contains a collection of resources filtered from a specified resource scope. You can modify the resources in the template, create a stack based on the modified template, and then use the stack to manage resources. You can also manage resources in the scenario. For more information, see Create a stack and Use a scenario to manage resources.
Resource migration scenario
In the scenario, you can generate a template for a new node that contains a collection of resources that you want to migrate. You can modify the resources in the template, create a stack based on the modified template, and then use the stack to migrate resources. You can also migrate resources in the scenario. For more information, see Create a stack and Use a scenario to migrate resources.
Procedure
Log on to the ROS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Scenarios.
In the top navigation bar, select the region of the scenario that you want to manage from the region drop-down list.
On the Scenarios page, click the ID of the scenario.
In the upper-right corner of the scenario management page, click Create Template to generate a template.
In the Template Content dialog box, copy the content of the scenario template.
Click Disable.
