This topic describes how to renew, upgrade, and downgrade an ApsaraMQ for MQTT instance.
Background information
When you upgrade or downgrade the configuration of an instance, the change applies in the current subscription period. When you renew an instance, it applies in the next subscription period.
Renew an instance
The system sends a notification to the mobile number associated with your account 7 days before your instance expires. Renew the instance promptly. If you do not renew the instance upon expiration, the instance is retained for 30 days. After 30 days, the instance and its related resources, such as topics and groups, are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.
Enable auto-renewal (recommended)
If you plan to use a service for a long time, we recommend that you enable auto-renewal. With auto-renewal enabled, the system renews your resources before they expire to prevent resource or data loss and avoid service interruptions.
Log on to the ApsaraMQ for MQTT console. In the top navigation bar, choose .
On the Renewal page that appears, select ApsaraMQ for MQTT_International Site_Subscription in the Instances section, and select the region from the Region drop-down list.
Click the Manual tab. Locate your target instance, and then click Enable Auto Renewal in the Actions column.
