CloudMonitor:Manage site monitoring tasks

After you create a site monitoring task, you can view the task details, and modify, delete, disable, and enable the task.

View site monitoring tasks

You can view the details, monitoring and analysis information, and alert rules for site monitoring tasks. This way, you can identify exception data of sites in a timely manner and handle exceptions.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Site Monitoring (Scheduled Detections).
  3. On the Site Monitoring Tasks page, you can view the total number of monitoring tasks, the number of alerts in the last 24 hours, and the number of detections yesterday.

  4. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, click the name of the site monitoring task.

    You can view the overview, monitoring and analysis information, and alert rules of the site monitoring task.

    • On the Overview tab, view the alert history, analysis report, and detection results of the site monitoring task.

    • On the Monitoring Analysis tab, view the information on the Scatter Plot Analysis, Geographical Analysis, Carrier Analysis, and Detection Error Analysis tabs.

    • On the Alert Rules tab, view the alert rules of the site monitoring task, and modify, delete, disable, or enable the alert rules.

Modify a site monitoring task

If an existing site monitoring task cannot meet your business requirements, you can modify the basic information, detection points, alert rules, and alert contact groups of the task.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Site Monitoring (Scheduled Detections).
  3. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the site monitoring task and click Edit in the Actions column.

  4. On the Modify Task page, modify the information about the site monitoring task.

  5. Click Modify.

Delete one or more site monitoring tasks

If you no longer need a site monitoring task, you can delete the task. After you delete a site monitoring task, the alert rules that are associated with the task are also deleted.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Site Monitoring (Scheduled Detections).
  3. Delete one or more site monitoring tasks.

    • Delete a single site monitoring task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the site monitoring task that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • Delete multiple site monitoring tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the site monitoring tasks that you want to delete and click Delete in the lower-left corner of the page.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

  4. Check whether the site monitoring tasks are deleted.

    Site monitoring tasks that are deleted are no longer displayed on the Monitoring Tasks tab.

Disable one or more site monitoring tasks

You can disable a site monitoring task only if the task is in the Running state. After the site monitoring task is disabled, the detection is suspended.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Site Monitoring (Scheduled Detections).
  3. Disable one or more site monitoring tasks.

    • Disable a single site monitoring task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the site monitoring task that you want to disable and click Stop in the Actions column.

      2. In the Confirm Disabling message, click Confirm.

    • Disable multiple site monitoring tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the site monitoring tasks that you want to disable and click Stop in the lower-left corner of the page.

      2. In the Confirm Disabling message, click Confirm.

  4. View the status of each site monitoring task.

    On the Monitoring Tasks tab, Stopped is displayed in the Status column of the site monitoring tasks.

Enable one or more site monitoring tasks

You can enable a site monitoring task only if the task is in the Stopped state. After the site monitoring task is enabled, the detection is resumed.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Site Monitoring (Scheduled Detections).
  3. Enable one or more site monitoring tasks.

    • Enable a single site monitoring task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the site monitoring task that you want to enable and click Enable in the Actions column.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • Enable multiple site monitoring tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the site monitoring tasks that you want to enable and click Enable in the lower-left corner of the page.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

  4. View the status of each site monitoring task.

    On the Monitoring Tasks tab, Running is displayed in the Status column of the site monitoring tasks.
