:Unbind RAM users from a cluster

Last Updated:Nov 23, 2021

If you no longer need to use a RAM user to manage an Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) cluster, you can unbind the RAM user from the cluster. This topic describes how to unbind RAM users from a cluster.

Background information

If several RAM users are bound to a cluster, the cluster can still be accessed and managed by RAM users other than the unbound one. If only one RAM user is bound to a cluster, the cluster can be accessed and managed by all RAM users after you unbind the RAM user from it.

Note

If you unbind a RAM user from a cluster, the RAM user is not deleted.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the E-HPC console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Management > User.

  4. On the User page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list and click the Assign a RAM user tab.

  5. Unbind one or more RAM users from the cluster.

    • Unbind a RAM user

Find the RAM user and click Delete in the Operation column.

    • Unbind multiple RAM users

Select the RAM users and click Delete above the RAM user list.

  6. In the Revoke dialog box, click OK.
