To accelerate the delivery of static and dynamic resources, you need to enable dynamic acceleration. After you enable dynamic acceleration, dynamic resources are retrieved from the origin server over an optimal route, and static resources are cached on points of presence (POPs) to accelerate delivery. You can create custom acceleration rules for static resources and specify the files that you want to cache by configuring the types, URIs, or paths of static files.
If you no longer want to accelerate the delivery of dynamic resources, you can disable dynamic acceleration. After you disable dynamic acceleration, the delivery of dynamic resources is not accelerated. Only the default acceleration rules for static files take effect, and custom acceleration rules for static files are disabled.
By default, dynamic acceleration is enabled for domain names that are added to DCDN. When dynamic acceleration is enabled, the dynamic routing feature continuously uses TCP connections to detect the origin server from POPs. This allows you to select the optimal route from POPs to the origin server based on the detected network quality. To disable TCP-based detection on the origin server from POPs, you can disable the dynamic acceleration feature for the accelerated domain name in the DCDN console.
The following table describes the operations that you can perform to configure acceleration rules for static and dynamic content.
Operation | Description |
Allows you to configure acceleration rules for static content by specifying the types of files that can be cached on POPs. This way, static content does not occupy resources that are reserved for the acceleration of dynamic content. | |

Configure back-to-origin requests to retrieve dynamic content | Allows you to configure dynamic content retrieval settings, including the protocol that is used by the client to retrieve dynamic content from the origin server and whether to enable load balancing. You can configure the settings based on your business requirements. |
