Container Service for Kubernetes:Release notes for components in registered clusters

Last Updated:May 28, 2025

The following key components are used in registered clusters of Distributed Cloud Container Platform for Kubernetes (ACK One): ack-stub and ack-cluster-agent. ack-stub is deployed at the ACK One side to receive connection requests from ack-cluster-agent and establish tunnels. ack-cluster-agent is deployed at the external cluster side to establish tunnels with ack-stub. This topic describes how to update ack-stub and ack-cluster-agent and the release notes for the components.

Update methods

Important
  • To update both ack-stub and ack-cluster-agent, you need to first update ack-cluster-agent. After the update is complete and the component runs as expected, update ack-stub.

  • During the update process, the tunnel to the ACK One registered cluster may be interrupted. This does not affect the business that is running in your cluster.

  1. Log on to the ACK One console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Fleet > Fleet Observability > GitOps Logs.

  2. In the registered cluster list, click the name of your registered cluster. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations > Add-ons.

  3. On the Add-ons page, find ack-stub and ack-cluster-agent, and then click Upgrade in the cards.
