Enterprise Distributed Application Service:Create and manage a contact group

Last Updated:Aug 14, 2023

When you create a notification policy, you can specify a contact group that receives alert notifications. When the dispatch rule in the notification policy is triggered, the Alert Management module of Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) sends alert notifications to contacts in the specified contact group by using phone calls, text messages, emails, or DingTalk messages.

Prerequisites

At least one contact is created. For more information, see Create a contact.

Create a contact group

  1. Log on to the EDAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Management > Applications. In the top navigation bar, select a region. In the upper part of the page, select a namespace. Select Container Service or Serverless Kubernetes Cluster from the Cluster Type drop-down list. Then, find the application that you want to deploy and click the application name.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Contact.

  4. On the Notification Objects page, click the Contacts tab and click Create Contact Group in the upper-right corner.

  5. In the Create Contact Group dialog box, enter a group name in the Group Name field, select one or more alert contacts from the Alert Contacts list, and then click OK.

Manage a contact group

After you create a contact group, you can search for, modify, or delete the contact group on the Contacts tab.

  • To search for a contact group, go to the Contacts tab, enter the contact group name or keywords of the name in the search box, and then click the 搜索.png search icon.

  • To modify a contact group, click the pencil_01 icon to the right of the contact group, modify the information in the Edit Contact Group dialog box based on your business requirements, and then click OK.

    Note

You can modify a contact group by using only the account that created the contact group.

  • To view the contacts in a contact group, click the Down arrow icon on the left of the contact group.

    Note

You can remove one or more contacts that are created by using the current account from a contact group after the contacts are shown. To remove a contact, find the contact and click Remove in the Actions column.

  • To delete a contact group, click the delete_01 icon on the right of the contact group. In the message that appears, click OK.

    Important
    • Before you delete a contact group, make sure that the contact group is not added to a notification policy. Otherwise, alert notifications may fail to be sent.

    • You can delete contact groups by using only the account that created the contact groups.
