This topic describes different billing cycles and overdue payment rules of pay-as-you-go and subscription Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ instances.
Overdue payments of pay-as-you-go instances
- The billing cycle of pay-as-you-go Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ instances is 24 hours. On the next natural day, Alibaba Cloud charges your usage over the last natural day, issues a bill, and deducts relevant fees from your Alibaba Cloud account balance based on the bill amount. A bill is generally issued within 8 to 10 hours after the current billing cycle is completed.
- If your current account balance is insufficient to pay the bill amount, Alibaba Cloud will suspend the Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ service. You cannot access the Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ console and make API requests any more.
- If your Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ service has been in arrears for more than 72 hours, Alibaba Cloud will release your instance and delete the topics and group IDs from your instance. The released instance and its resources cannot be recovered.
Overdue payments of subscription instances
After a subscription instance of Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ Enterprise Platinum Edition expires, Alibaba Cloud suspends your service. If the instance is not renewed within 168 hours, it is automatically released and its data cannot be recovered.
