This topic describes how to set the effective scope for a domain name. The DNS records, forwarding rules, and cache settings for a domain name take effect in a virtual private cloud (VPC) only after the domain name is associated with that VPC.
Procedure
Follow these steps to set the effective scope for a Private Zone:
Click Private Zone, and click User Defined Zones on this tab.
On the User Defined Zone tab, click Effective Scope in the Actions column for the target domain name. Select the VPCs to associate with the domain name.
