The backup within seconds feature will be enabled by default for the automatic backup policies of RDS for MySQL instances that run the High-availability Edition and Cluster Edition and use cloud disks. This feature shortens the duration of automatic backups to seconds without incurring additional costs. This feature is enabled in different ways based on the purchase date of your instance:
Instances purchased on and after August 15, 2025: The feature will be enabled by default for automatic backup policies.
Instances purchased before August 15, 2025: The feature will be automatically enabled by Alibaba Cloud since August 15, 2025. You do not need to manually enable it.
