Dataphin:Manage business filters

The business filter list displays all business filters created in Dataphin, showing their basic information and management options. This list allows you to view and manage the business filters you have created. This topic describes the management features supported by the business filter list.

Manage business filters

  1. In the top navigation bar of the Dataphin homepage, choose Development > Data Development.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Dimensional Modeling > Business Condition.

  3. At the bottom of the business filter list on the right, click Business Filter List. On the Business Filter List tab, you can perform related management operations.image

    Search and filter area

    You can enter the Chinese or English name of a business filter to search, or select Created By Me for quick filtering. Click Filter to expand the filter area, which includes the following filter options.

    • Source Logical Table: Filter by the main source table selected when creating the business filter. You can enter table name keywords to search.

    • Data Timeliness: Filter by the data timeliness of business filters. You can select multiple data timeliness options, including Daily (T+1), Hourly (T+h), and Minutely (T+m).

    • Data Domain: Filter by the subject area of the business filter. You can select one or more subject areas. The list includes all subject areas in the current module.

    • Development Status: Filter by the development status of business filters. You can select one or more statuses, including Draft, Submitting, Submitted, and Developing.

    • Business Filter Type: Filter by business filter type. You can select Simple Condition or Composite Condition.

    • Created By: Filter by the creator of business filters. You can select one or more users and enter username keywords to search.

    • Business Entity: You can select one or more business entities for filtering and enter keywords of business entity names to search.

    Function area

    • View Batch Operation Records: Click View Batch Operation Records to open the Batch Operation Records panel and view the corresponding batch operation records, including business filter name, operation type, operation time, and status.

    • Create Business Filter: Click Create Business Filter, configure the relevant parameters in the Create Business Filter dialog box, and then click Save And Submit. For parameter details, see Create a business condition.

    • Select list display content: Click the image icon to select the fields to display in the list.

    • Refresh: Click the image icon to refresh the list below based on the selected filter conditions.

    Business filter list and supported operations

    The business filter list displays the business filter name, business filter type, source logical table, subject area/business entity, data timeliness, development status, and creator. For details about the operations supported by business filters, see Operations supported by business filters.

Operations supported by business filters

Operation

Description

View

Click the icon in the Actionsimage column of the target business filter to open the details panel for that business filter. In the business filter details panel, you can view the data information, version information, sibling business filters, and related metrics of the current business filter.

  • Data Information: Data information includes basic information and computation logic.

  • Version Information: Displays all submitted versions of the current business filter, including version number, modifier, creation time, status, and remarks. In the version information list, you can view version details, compare versions, and roll back to a specific version.

    • Version Details: Displays the basic information, object information, and computation logic of the corresponding version.

    • Version Comparison: By default, compares the current version with the selected version (including basic information, object information, and computation logic), with differences highlighted. You can switch between different versions for comparison.

    • Roll Back to This Version: Rolls back all configurations of the current business filter to the specified version. The rollback operation cannot be revoked.

  • Sibling Condition: Business filters with the same source main table as the current business filter, i.e., sibling business filters. The sibling business filter list displays the business filter name, data timeliness, source main table, computation logic, and status.

  • Related Metrics: All derived metrics, extended metrics, and registered metrics created using the current business filter, i.e., related metrics. The related metrics list displays the metric name, project, subject area, computation logic, and status.

The business filter details panel supports different operations for business filters in different development statuses, including edit, clone, unpublish, unpublish and delete, and delete. For operation details, see below.

Edit

  1. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column of the target business filter. In the Edit Business Filter dialog box, modify Basic Information (metrics in development or submitted status do not support modifying business entity and English name) and Computation Logic.

  2. After modification, if you click Save, the changes are saved and the development status of the current business filter is Developing. If you click Save And Submit, a new version is generated after successful submission, and the development status of the current business filter is Submitted.

Unpublish

Unpublish a submitted business filter.

  • Individual operation:

    1. Click the Unpublish icon in the Actions column of the target business filter.

    2. Enter Remarks in the dialog box, not exceeding 128 characters, and then click OK And Submit.

  • Batch operation: Select multiple business filters, click Unpublish at the bottom of the list, enter Remarks in the dialog box, and then click OK And Submit.

Note
  • After successful submission, you need to go to the to-be-published list to publish objects to the production environment.

  • If the selected business filter has downstream dependencies, the unpublish operation will not take effect.

Delete

Delete a business filter with a development status of Draft.

Click the Delete icon in the Actions column of the target business filter, select Delete, enter Remarks in the dialog box, and then click OK And Submit.

Unpublish and delete

Unpublish and delete business filters with development statuses of Developing and Submitted.

  • Individual operation:

    1. Click the icon in the Actionsimage column of the target business filter, and select Unpublish And Delete.

    2. Enter Remarks in the Unpublish And Delete dialog box, not exceeding 128 characters.

    3. Click OK And Submit when finished.

  • Batch operation: Select multiple business filters, click Unpublish And Delete at the bottom of the list, enter Remarks in the dialog box, and then click OK And Submit.

Note
  • If a business filter has downstream dependencies, the unpublish and delete operation will not take effect. Tasks already published to the production environment will only be unpublished, not deleted.

  • After successfully submitting the unpublish and delete operation, you can go to the to-be-published list to publish objects to the production environment.

  • If the current tenant has not enabled the Management Hub > System Settings > Development Platform Settings > Unpublish and Delete > Development Environment Can Delete Published Objects configuration, published development objects in Dev-prod projects do not support the unpublish and delete operation.

Clone

  1. Click the image icon in the Actions column of the target business filter, and select Clone.

  2. In the Clone Business Filter dialog box, modify the relevant parameter configurations based on the existing metric configuration.

  3. When finished, if you click Save, the changes are saved and the development status of the current business filter is Developing. If you click Save And Submit, a new version is generated after successful submission, and the development status of the current business filter is Submitted.
