This topic describes how to enable automatic storage expansion for a MyBase for MySQL instance of the High-availability Edition that uses enhanced SSDs (ESSDs).

Prerequisites

  • A MyBase for MySQL instance of the High-availability Edition that uses ESSDs is created.
  • The balance on your account or storage plan is sufficient for storage expansion.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where your instance is deployed.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > MySQL.
  4. Find the instance that you want to manage and click Details in the Actions column. You are redirected to the ApsaraDB RDS console.
  5. You can use one of the following methods to enable automatic storage expansion for the MyBase for MySQL instance:
    • Enable automatic storage expansion in the Usage Statistics section on the Basic Information page.

      1. Click Basic Information and navigate to the Usage Statistics section. Click Settings next to the Automatic Storage Expansion field.
      2. In the dialog box that appears, configure the following parameters.
        Parameter Description
Automatic Storage Expansion Specify whether to enable automatic storage expansion for your instance.
Available Storage Space When the available storage of your instance is equal to or less than the specified threshold, automatic storage expansion is triggered.
Maximum Storage of Automatic Expansion The maximum storage capacity that is allowed by automatic storage expansion. Valid values: 100 to 32000. Unit: GB.
Note When automatic storage expansion is triggered, the system automatically expands the storage by 15 percent of the available storage. If 15 percent of the available storage is less than 5 GB, the storage is increased by 5 GB.
      3. Click OK.
    • Enable automatic storage expansion in the Database Autonomy Service (DAS) console.

      1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Autonomy Center > Performance Trend.
      2. Click Autonomy Service Settings in the upper-right corner.
      3. On the Settings tab, configure the following parameters.
        Parameter Description
Enable Autonomy Service Specify whether to enable autonomy service for your instance.
Automatic Space Expansion Specify whether to enable automatic storage expansion for the instance.
Available Storage Space When the available storage is equal to or less than the specified value, automatic storage expansion is triggered.
      4. Click OK.
