The exception analysis feature of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) helps you recognize and diagnose system exceptions or data errors. By doing so, you can promptly take measures to resolve the exceptions, bringing risks under control.
Procedure
Log on to the Managed Service for OpenTelemetry console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the upper right corner of the page, select a time range for data analysis based on your business requirements.

In the Quick Filter section (icon 1), you can filter exceptions by exception name, operation name, application name, and instance.
In the trend charts section (icon 2), you can view the number of exceptions that occurred in a specified time period, with each bar in the chart being stacked by exception name.
First, click the
icon. In the dialog box that appears, you can view the metric data in a specific period of time or compare the data during the same period across different dates. You can also click the
or
icon to display the data in a column chart or trend chart, respectively.In the exception list section (icon 3), you can view details such as the exception name, the application that threw the exception, occurrence counts, percentage, and a summary for each exception.
In the exception list, perform the following operations based on your business requirements:
Click the application name to view the monitoring details. For more information, see View monitoring details (new).
Click Overview in the Actions column to view information such as the trend of exception counts, the distribution of exceptions by operation call and instance, and the exception stack.

Click Traces in the Actions column to view the trace information. For more information, see Trace Explorer.
