Purchase a cloud phone, install applications, and connect from the console or a client.
Prerequisites
You have an Alibaba Cloud account. For more information, see Sign up for an Alibaba Cloud account.
You have created accounts for your end users. For more information, see Create a user account.
Create an instance group
The quick purchase process creates cloud phones without custom configuration.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Instance Group page, click Create Instance Group.
On the Create Instance Group page, configure the following parameters, click Buy Now, and complete the payment.
Parameter
Description
Billing Method
Select a billing method. For example, Pay-as-you-go.
Duration
If you select the Subscription billing method, specify a duration. Not used in this example.
Instance Group Name
Enter a name for the instance group.
Available Region
To reduce network latency, select the region closest to your end users.
Specifications
Select a compute specification. For example, Lightweight.
Image
Select an image. For example, System Image (Android 12 System Image).
Quantity
Enter the number of cloud phones to purchase. For example, 1.
Configure Network
Select a network type. For example, Shared Network.
Attach
Select a policy. For example, wuying_default_policy.
Install an application
Create the application before installing it on a cloud phone. For more information, see Create and manage applications.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, find the target application and, in the Actions column, click Install Application.
In the Instance Groups section of the Install Application panel, select the instance group and click OK.
NoteInstallation is complete when the application's Status changes to Installed..
Connect to a cloud phone
Administrator via console
Administrators can connect to a cloud phone from the console.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Instance page, find the target instance and, in the Actions column, click Connect.
On the Connect page, click the connect icon in the center of the cloud phone card.
End user via client
After you assign a cloud phone to an end user, they can connect using the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client.
Step 1: Assign a cloud phone
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Instance page, find the cloud phone instance to assign. In the Actions column, click the ⋮ icon and select Assign User.

In the Assign User panel, select a user account from the Available Users section, and then click OK.
NoteClick Go Now to go to the EDS Enterprise console and create a user account. After creation, click the refresh icon in the upper-right corner of the Available Users section.
After the assignment succeeds, login credentials are sent to the user's email address.

(Optional) To unassign a cloud phone, find it on the Instance page, click the ⋮ icon in its Actions column, and select Unassign.
Step 2: Connect to the cloud phone
End users can connect via desktop, web, or mobile client. This example uses the desktop client.

Open the client and select Enterprise Edition & Commercial Edition at the top. At the bottom, accept the privacy policy, enter your organization ID or office network ID, and click the icon.

On the Account Sign-in tab, enter your username and password, and then click the icon.
NoteOn first sign-in, you must create a new password. The initial password expires after three days. Click Forgot Password to reset an expired password.
After sign-in, the client displays your assigned cloud resources, such as cloud computers and cloud applications.

On the cloud resource list, click the connect icon on a resource card to begin your session.
Developer via ADB
Developers can connect to a cloud phone using Android Debug Bridge (ADB). For more information, see Connect to a cloud phone using ADB.
