After a version is deployed to an environment, you can change it by performing an upgrade, switch, or rollback.
Create an environment
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose , and click Create Environment.
NoteYou can set an environment to read-only only after it is created.
On the Create Environment page, enter an Environment Name, set the filter rules and initial position, and then click OK.
Edit an environment
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
Edit the , and then click OK.
NoteIf the environment is the first sequence, you can edit the version deployed in it.
When you set an environment to read-only, the version deployed in it also becomes read-only.
You can modify the traffic filters for all environments except the production environment.
Change the version in an environment
You can Promote, Roll Back, or switch the version deployed in an environment.
Upgrade a version
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
When you upgrade a version, a message appears with key information about the versions before and after the upgrade. After you confirm that the change is as expected, click OK.

Roll back a version
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
NoteThis operation rolls back the version deployed in the environment to the one that was previously deployed. You cannot perform a rollback if no version was previously deployed to the environment.
On the Rollback Reminder page, check the information about the version to be deployed and its corresponding environment. After you confirm that the change is as expected, click OK.

Switch a version
You can directly switch the version deployed in a specific environment. After you confirm the switch, the new version is immediately deployed and takes effect.
In the ESA console, choose Site Management, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
In the Overview area, find the environment that you want to change, and then select the target version.

Delete an environment
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose , and then click OK.
NoteBefore you delete an environment, make sure that it is not receiving active requests. The system does not check for active requests. This action permanently deletes the environment and cannot be undone. Proceed with caution.
The production environment, which is the default environment created after version management is enabled, cannot be deleted.
