Version Management lets you perform canary releases based on custom request rules, with quick deployment and rollback.
Create an environment

In the ESA console, select Websites, and then click the target site in the Website column.

In the navigation pane, select .

Configure the Environment Name, Traffic Filter for This Environment, and Initial Position, and then click OK.
Note-
Deployed versions can only be edited in the first environment of the promotion sequence.

Traffic filters can be modified for any environment except production.

Create a version
Activating Version Management automatically creates Version 0.
Clone an existing version to create a new, independent one. Changes in the new version do not affect live traffic.
Versions must be cloned from an existing version. The version number auto-increments.

In the ESA console, select Websites, and then click the target site in the Website column.

In the navigation pane, select , and then click OK.
Promote an environment version
After validating configurations in the development and staging environments, promote the version to production.

In the ESA console, select Websites, and then click the target site in the Website column.

In the navigation pane, select .

Click Promote, starting from the lowest-priority (development) environment through to the highest (production).

Sites on the Premium or Enterprise plan can use Version Management. Cloned version rules count toward your plan quota.
