Last Updated:Mar 18, 2024

You can modify the information of a custom image to make the image easy to manage. The information that you can modify for a custom image includes the name, description, Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) drive settings, and boot mode.

Prerequisites

  • A custom image is created or imported.

  • Tags are created. For more information, see Create or add a tag.

Modify the attributes of an image

  1. Log on to the ECS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > Images.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group to which the resource belongs. 地域

  4. On the Custom Images tab, find the image that you want to manage. In the Actions column, choose image.png > Modify Image Attributes.

  5. In the Modify Image Attributes dialog box, configure the Image Name, Image Family, NVMe Drive, Boot Mode, and Image Description parameters based on your business requirements.

    • Image Name: Enter a new name for the image.

    • Image Family: Specify an image family name. For information about image families, see Overview.

    • NVMe Drive: If you set NVMe Drive to Supported, the custom image is automatically recognized as an NVMe driver-supported image and instances created from the image that support the NVMe driver can start as expected.

    • Boot Mode: The boot mode is the mode in which the system disk is booted during the instance creation process. The following boot modes are supported: Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). For more information, see Best practices for the UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes.

    • Image Description: Modify the description of the image.

  6. Click Confirm.
