ApsaraDB for Redis supports both auto renewal and manual renewal. You can renew a subscription instance during the contract period or within seven days after the contract expires. A pay-as-you-go instance is billed on an hourly basis according to the actual usage time. You do not need to renew such an instance.

Procedure (auto renewal)

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for Redis console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, chooseBilling Management > Renewto go to the Renew page.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click ApsaraDB for Redis.
  4. On the Manually Renew tab, click Enable Auto-Renew in the Actions column of the target instance. In the dialog box that appears, set Auto-Renew Cycle to enable auto renewal.

Procedure (manual renewal)

Notice You can change the instance configuration when you manually renew an instance. For more information about how to change the instance configuration in other scenarios, see Change the instance configuration.
  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for Redis console.
  2. Find the subscription instance to be renewed and click Renew in the Action column.
  3. On the renewal page, adjust the slider of Duration to select a renewal period and click Confirm.
    Note
    • Auto Renew is available to the right of Duration. If you select Auto Renew, a monthly subscription instance is automatically renewed on a monthly basis and a yearly subscription instance is automatically renewed on a yearly basis.
    • To change the instance configuration, you can select Change Configuration and select the target configuration on the renewal page. For more information about the configuration change during renewal and relevant billing standards, see Upgrade and downgrade the configuration.
  4. On the payment page, select an appropriate payment method and click Pay.

    After you make a payment, a message appears to notify you of a successful payment. The renewal process is completed.
