This topic describes how to view the details of pods.

Go to the Pod details page

  1. Log on to the ARMS console .
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Kubernetes Monitoring.
  3. In the top navigation bar of the MNS console, select the region where your cluster is deployed.
  4. On the Kubernetes Monitoring page, click the name of the Kubernetes cluster.
  5. In the Namespace section of the Cluster Resources page, click the intersection of a namespace and a resource type.
    Note
    • If you click an area in blue, all resources of the selected type within the selected namespace are displayed.
    • If you click an area in red, the abnormal resources of the selected type within the selected namespace are displayed.
  6. Click the Pod tab.
  7. On the Pod tab, click the name of the pod that you want to view.
  8. On the pod details page, select a time range from the date and time picker in the upper-right corner.

Basic information

In the basic information section, you can view the following information about the selected pod: the number of requests, number of errors, average response time, number of slow calls, number of containers included, number of restarts, and execution duration.

In the basic information section, you can perform the following operations:
  • Click Log to view the logs of the pod.
  • Move the pointer over Terminal to view the containers in the pod. Click the name of a container to log on to the terminal of the container.
  • Click View YAML to view the YAML file of the pod.

Alert events

The Alert Events section displays the list of alert events.

In the Alert Events section, you can perform the following operations:
  • Find an alert event and click the row of the alert event to view the details.
  • Click View More Alert Events to view all alert events in the Alert Management feature.

Number of requests, response time, number of errors, and number of slow calls

Kubernetes monitoring allows you to view the following protocol-related metrics for a pod: the number of requests, response time, number of errors, and number of slow calls.

You can click the name of a protocol to view these metrics related to the protocol. For more information about protocol-related metrics, see Protocol-related metrics.

CPU and memory specifications

In the CPU and Memory sections, you can view the usage, requests and limits on CPU and memory, and their time series curves.

In the CPU and Memory section, you can perform the following operations:

  • Move the pointer over the curve of a metric to view the specific statistics at the specified point in time.

  • Click a metric in the upper-right corner of a chart to hide or show the curve of the metric.

Containers

In the Container list section, you can view the name, status, and information of all containers in the pod.

In the Container list sections, you can perform the following operation:

Click the name of a container to view its details. For more information, see Container details.

Conditions

In the Conditions section, you can view the conditions of the pod and the following information about each condition: name, status, and the time, reason, and details of the last status transition.

Node

In the Node section, you can view the following information about the node that hosts the pod: time series curves of and statistics on the CPU utilization, memory usage, disk usage, and network traffic.

  • Click the name of the node to view its details. For more information, see Node details.
  • Move the pointer over the curve of a metric to view the specific statistics at the specified point in time.
