This topic describes how to delete a database from a MyBase for SQL Server instance.

Delete a database in the console

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where you want to create a dedicated cluster.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > SQL Server.
  4. Find the instance that you want to release, and click Details in the Actions column to go to the details page of the instance in the ApsaraDB RDS console.
  5. In the left-side navigation pane, click Databases.
  6. Find the database that you want to delete, and click Delete in the Actions column.
  7. In the message that appears, click OK.

Execute an SQL statement to delete a database

  1. Use a client to connect to the MyBase for SQL Server instance for which the database to be deleted is created. For more information, see Log on to an instance.
  2. Execute one of the following SQL statements to delete the database:
    • Execute a DROP statement.
      drop database <database name>;
    • Call a stored procedure.
      EXEC sp_rds_drop_database 'database name'
