Before you can use Hybrid Cloud Monitoring, you must activate the service. You are charged for Hybrid Cloud Monitoring by using the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are not charged for activating Hybrid Cloud Monitoring. You are charged based on the actual resource usage. Hybrid Cloud Monitoring provides the following features: dashboard, resource usage report, high precision monitoring, and cloud monitoring exporter.

Billing

The following table describes the billing of the dashboard feature.

Item	Description
Scenarios	The dashboard feature is suitable for the following business scenarios: Store your monitoring data for a longer period of time. Monitor multiple clouds and hybrid clouds, and monitor metrics across multiple Alibaba Cloud accounts. Specify custom metrics to perform custom monitoring.
Billing cycle	Bills are generated on a daily basis. Fees are calculated based on the number of daily data points for the metrics in the namespace and the price of the storage duration specification. The default storage specification is cms.s1.3xlarge, which indicates a retention period of 93 days.
Billing formula	Fee for the dashboard feature = Total number of data points × Unit price of a data point Note A data point represents the value of a metric at a specific point in time. The value of the CPU utilization metric whose name is CPUUtilization for an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance at a specific point in time is equivalent to one data point. The value of the disk usage metric whose name is diskusage_used for an ECS instance at a specific point in time is equivalent to one data point. If you configure two listeners for a Server Load Balancer (SLB) instance, the value of the TCP active connection metric whose name is ActiveConnection for the two listeners at a specific point in time is equivalent to two data points.
Pricing	Billing of dashboards
Billing example	The following section provides examples of tiered pricing based on the number of collected data points per day. In the following examples, the storage duration specification named cms.s1.3xlarge is used. Example 1: If you use the dashboard feature to collect 280 million data points within a day for the metrics in the namespace, the fee is calculated by using the following formula: Fee = 20,000 × USD 0.004331 + (28,000 - 20,000) × USD 0.00315 = USD 111.82 Example 2: If you have 200 ECS instances and configure 10 metrics whose collection period is 1 minute in the namespace, the daily collection fee is calculated by using the following formulas: Total number of data points = 200 instances × 10 metrics × 60 minutes × 24 hours = 2,880,000 Fee = 288 × USD 0.004331 = USD 1.247328 Important The pricing of the dashboard feature varies based on the specified storage duration specification.
