You can release instances that run on the hosts in ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server dedicated clusters based on your business requirements.

Prerequisites

An ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance is created. For more information, see Create an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance.

Precautions

Your data is not retained after you release your ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance. We recommend that you create a backup file and download the file to your on-premises machine before you release the instance. For more information, see Back up the data of an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance and Download the backup files of an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances and then click MySQL. Then, you can use one of the following methods to release an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance:
    • Find the ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance that you want to release, click More in the Actions column, and click Release Instance. Release an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance
    • Find the ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance that you want to release, and click Details in the Actions column. On the Basic Information page, click Release Instance in the Status section. Release an instance on the Basic Information page
    • Find the ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance that you want to release, and click Details in the Actions column. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service Availability. Move the pointer over the instance that you want to release and click Delete.
      Note This method is available only for the instances of ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL Master-replica Edition.

  4. In the message that appears, click OK to release the ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance.
