You can manually disable ApsaraVideo Live domain names. These domain names can also be disabled by the system due to business violation, overdue payments, or invalid Internet Content Provider (ICP) filing. This topic describes the handling rules for disabled domain names and how to restore disabled domain names.

Business violation

Problem description: Your domain name is blocked and disabled because it does not comply with the limits of ApsaraVideo Live. In this case, the system sends you notifications by using text messages or emails.

Handling rules for the disabled domain name: After the domain name is disabled, the system deletes the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name and stops resolving the domain name. In this case, the domain name cannot be accessed. In addition, the domain name is added to the blacklist. You cannot add the domain name again in the ApsaraVideo Live console.

Solution: Check whether your domain name complies with the limits. If the domain name complies with the limits, submit a ticket to bring an appeal. For more information about how to submit a ticket, see Contact us.

Overdue payments

Problem description: Your domain name is disabled because the balance, including the cash balance, vouchers, and coupons, in your Alibaba Cloud account is insufficient to cover overdue payments. In this case, the system sends text messages or emails to notify you of the overdue payments.

Handling rules for the disabled domain name:
  • In normal cases: The system resolves the domain name to the IP address of an Alibaba Cloud CDN node based on the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name.
  • Within the next 720 hours after the domain name is disabled due to overdue payments: When the system sends you text messages or emails that notify you of the overdue payments, the system also stops the acceleration service for the domain name and disables the domain name. During the 720-hour period, the system resolves the domain name to the origin server of the live center based on the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name.
  • After the domain name is disabled for 720 hours due to overdue payments: The system stops resolving the domain name to the origin server of the live center. Instead, the domain name is resolved to an invalid IP address offline.***.com. In this case, the domain name cannot be accessed.

Solution: Settle the overdue payments. Then, the system automatically enables the domain name.

Invalid ICP filing

Problem description: When the ICP number of your domain name becomes invalid, the system sends text messages or emails to notify you of ICP filing.
Note
  • The ICP number of a domain name becomes invalid if the information about the ICP filing entity changes. The information includes but is not limited to the ICP number owner, contact information, DNS provider, website, and businesses.
  • If the acceleration region of the domain name is Chinese Mainland or Global, the domain name must have a valid ICP number.
Handling rules for the disabled domain name:
  • In normal cases: The system resolves the domain name to the IP address of an Alibaba Cloud CDN node based on the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name.
  • Within the next 720 hours after the domain name is disabled due to invalid ICP filing: When the ICP number of the domain name becomes invalid, the system stops the acceleration service for the domain name and disables the domain name. During the 720-hour period, the system resolves the domain name to the origin server of the live center based on the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name.
  • After the domain name is disabled for 720 hours due to invalid ICP filing: The system stops resolving the domain name to the origin server of the live center. Instead, the domain name is resolved to an invalid IP address offline.***.com. In this case, the domain name cannot be accessed.

Solution: Check whether the ICP filing of your domain name is valid in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system. If the ICP filing is valid, file an appeal in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system.

Manually disabled domain names

Problem description: If you want to stop the acceleration service for your domain name, you can manually disable the domain name.

Handling rules for the disabled domain name:
  • In normal cases: The system resolves the domain name to the IP address of an Alibaba Cloud CDN node based on the CNAME record that is configured for the domain name.
  • Impacts: After you disable the domain name, the system stops the acceleration service for the domain name. The domain name is resolved to an invalid IP address.

Solution: To restore a disabled domain name, perform the following steps: Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Domains. On the Domain Management page, select the domain name that is disabled and click Enable.
