Live domains can be manually disabled or can be disabled by the system due to service violation, overdue payments, or invalid Internet Content Provider (ICP) filing. This topic describes the resolution rules for disabled live domains and shows you how to restore disabled live domains to normal.

Service violation

Problem description: Your live domain is blocked and disabled because it does not comply with the limits that Alibaba Cloud imposes on live domains. In this case, the system sends you notifications by using text messages or emails.

Resolution rule for a disabled live domain: After your live domain is disabled, the system deletes the canonical name (CNAME) that is assigned to the live domain and stops resolving the live domain. In this case, the live domain is inaccessible. In addition, the live domain is added to the blacklist. You cannot add it again in the ApsaraVideo Live console.

Solution: Check whether your live domain complies with the limits that Alibaba Cloud imposes on live domains. If your live domain complies with the limits, submit a ticket to bring an appeal.

Overdue payments

Problem description: Your live domain is disabled because the balance, including the cash balance and coupons, in your Alibaba Cloud account is insufficient to cover overdue payments. In this case, the system sends text messages or emails to notify you of the overdue payments.

Resolution rule for a disabled live domain:
  • In normal cases: The system resolves your live domain to the IP address of an Alibaba Cloud CDN node based on the CNAME record that is configured for your live domain.
  • Within the next 720 hours after your live domain is disabled because of overdue payments: When the system sends you text messages or emails that notify you of overdue payments, the system also stops the acceleration service for your live domain and disables your live domain. Within the next 720 hours after your live domain is disabled, the system resolves your live domain to the origin server of the live center based on the CNAME record that is configured for your live domain.
  • After your live domain is disabled for 720 hours because of overdue payments: The system stops resolving your live domain to the origin server of the live center. If your live domain is resolved based on its original CNAME record, it is resolved to an invalid domain name offline.***.com. In this case, your live domain is inaccessible.

Solution: Settle the payment. After that, the system automatically enables your live domain.

Invalid ICP filing

Problem description: When the ICP filing of your live domain becomes invalid, the system sends text messages or emails to notify you that you must obtain an ICP filing.
Note
  • The ICP filing of a live domain becomes invalid if the information of the ICP filing entity changes. The information includes but not limited to the ICP filing owner, receiving channels of notifications, service provider, website, and website service. In this case, the live domain is deemed as having no ICP filing.
  • If the edge group of your live domain is mainland China or the globe, the live domain must have an ICP filing.

Intentional operation

Problem description: Your live domain is manually disabled. You can disable a live domain that is no longer needed.
