The periods during which alert notifications can be sent are determined by the Period parameter of action groups. The Period parameter is configurable and allows you to select a period to send alert notifications.

If alerts are generated during the selected period, the alert notifications are sent. Otherwise, the alert notifications are not sent. The following list describes the valid values of the Period parameter.
Note You can specify the period based on the setting of the global default calendar, which determines business days, non-business days, business hours, and non-business hours. For more information, see Modify the global default calendar.
  • Any Time: sends notifications by using a specified method at any time.
  • Business Days: sends notifications by using a specified method on business days.
  • Non-business Days: sends notifications by using a specified method on non-business days.
